A counterexample is broad access with little recurring use: that may meet a distribution goal without creating durable company value. For a price-response review, levels should come from a timestamped pre-event chart for GOOG, with instrument, venue, interval, and the selection rule recorded before examining later prices. If testing whether the announcement drew market attention, use exchange-reported trading volume and label its source; broker tick activity is not equivalent.
