From a supply-risk headline to a testable energy thesis

A headline about a possible disruption is not the same as verified lost supply. Separate the chain into an event, an operational effect, a duration estimate and a potential market consequence. Each link needs evidence.

Questions that improve the discussion
Has production or transport actually changed? Which routes or facilities are affected? Are alternative routes, stocks or spare capacity relevant? Is the disruption brief or persistent? Which facts come from an official source, and which are estimates?

Prices can incorporate a risk premium before physical flows change. They can also reverse when the feared disruption does not materialize. That makes timestamp discipline important: save the original source time and the moment you formed the interpretation.

Use the World View to connect energy with inflation and growth, while preserving uncertainty. “This could increase costs if it persists” is a different claim from “This has reduced output.” A good thread makes that difference easy to see.
